GUEST SITE OF THE MONTH!
KCC COLLECTIBLES
For our first Guest Site Of The Month, it was an easy choice to choose KCC Collectibles. Ken's fine website and great product and service are highly recommended. Ken's reproduction Transformer weapons and parts are truly fantastic. A lot of work goes into each and every part and Ken is a perfectionist.

Some of Ken's great reproduction parts are: Optimus Prime fists, Jetfire's small gun clip, Decepticon Jet missiles, and Rodimus Prime's yellow wing. That's just the beginning. For a larger list of parts check out his website.

Some of Ken's upcoming plans include: Jetfire Armor, Ironhide & Ratchet's Red Peg, and he's even working on an upgrade kit for your Megatron's so that they'll be able to fire the plastic bullets just as the original japanese versions did.

Ken's always looking for original parts to be loaned for the sake of making more repro parts. The original parts are unharmed and returned to you. Got an idea for a custom? Ken's the man to see for any custom weapons, parts, and even minor remolds.

In the future Ken's looking into branching out into other toyline's. If you have any suggestions or just want to browse his great website....

Subject: guns have arrived, WOOO HOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

From: "Sean H" <seanh@tpg.au>

G'day Ken
Well, I'm pleased to announce that the 2 guns I ordered from you arrived today, safe-and-sound. I can't begin to tell you how blown away I am at the outstanding job you've done with them Ken. First class mate, first class!!!!!! Being a Toolmaker by trade, I have an eagle eye for detail, so when I see a fine piece of work, it goes straight to the heart.
Finally, I just wan't to thank you once again for the outstanding job you've done on manufacturing these 2 parts for me, and should the Photon Rifle, Cog, Master Sword, and Super God Sword ever get off our "wish list", and become 3-dimensional, I'll be the first person kicking your door down with an order!!!!!!!!!!!
Take care dear friend, and write me when you can.

Kind Regards,
Sean

Re: Max guns
Date: Fri, 17 Nov 2000 19:49:35 -0500
From:  "John" Owner of the originals he lent me to copy.

Package arrived yesterday. That piece is quite impressive! All of the little flaws you mention are just that... Little. And with all of them basically being on the bottom, I doubt anyone would really care. The only other thing I noticed is that the fit is a touch looser on the repro. Not to the point it doesn't stay, but enough to notice. Still, much better to be a little loose than too tight. Overall, I'd say that this is an excellent job and perfect for the new Brave Max... As well as for people who might need one for a FM.

Re: Fort Max Dual Cannon Prototype
Date: Mon, 20 Nov 2000 10:55:43 -0800 (PST)
From: Joseph Brad???? <epdpatrolman@> (One of the volunteers to evaluate the dual cannon, Thanks Joseph)

Here are my opinions on the dual cannon.  It is an awesome piece of reproduction.  I had expected small pits in the surface and the occasional "dip" in the surface much like I have noted on knock-off Transformers.  This item has neither of those traits. Basically,  it looks exactly like one would imagine the original dual cannon would have looked if molded black.  It is original production quality.  To say I am pleased with the item would be an understatement. It takes what looks like a naked Brave Maximus and gives it character.  All I can say is *wow* and that I can't wait for the rifle to be made!  Thanks and I'll get the $16 out to you soon.

Subject: Dual Max Gun
Date: Mon, 20 Nov 2000 11:47:06 -0800
From: racres@ (The Beautiful Nightmare) (The second volunteer to pick the dual cannon apart, Thanks Doug)

OK! I've been studying this baby for a few days now, and I am very impressed. The quality of the plastic is very good, and the gun looks awesome in black. I'm glad you decided to make it black, because it really looks champ with Brave Max that way.
This gun just looks awesome, if someone didn't know better they'd think that it was an official Takara release intended for Brave Maximus. The only real problem with it is on the sides of the gun, where it looks like some plastic residue was cut off (?), but it's very minor, and I'm just noting it to be precise. All in all, I am extremely pleased with the quality of this item and will gladly purchase it. Max will be a lot cooler with his Guns, and we have you to thank.Would it be possible for me to be a tester of the other gun as well? And what's your address so I can send the $XX for this Gun?
Thanx.

From: "Marcus N " <frieza2a@>

Nevermind!!  I received it yesterday.  I will put good feedback down in a little bit. If you didn't say it was an artificial wing piece, I would have never know.  It looks just like the real thing.  I do like the color better than the originals.  One more thing, are you going to auction any more blast shield pairs?  Thanks, and bye.

From: "Darren" <gpgmschw@>

Hi Ken,
I received your parts and are very much impressed.  And hey...thanks for that second blast shield...I thought that I only needed one, but realise now it needs one for each side.  I'll give some feed back on them, but this is not to be critical cos i'm thrilled about getting the parts. The only problem that I encountered was that the yellow wings didn't quite fit in the lower peg hole.  I thought the blast shields were fantastic! they fit wonderfully.  I also thought that the yellow plastic for the wings was a little more flismy than they original (i've got an original one, with a big bite mark in it!!)  but that is only my honest opinion. once again thanks, take care,
Darren

I just got your package. I must say I was impressed with your tailfins. They are very real looking and dont have any flaws that I can see. The skuff marks from the originals you used make them look like real ones that have been played with. The only way you can tell them is the "soapy" feel of the plastic and they are a little less shiney than the originals but otherwise they are perfect. Very ridged and stronger than I was expecting. Very impressive. Great fit. The missles are great as well and are stronger than the thundercracker ones I bought a while back. Im very pleased. Thanx again.

Thank you very much for your help with this custom project.  I still need landing gear for each jet, so I will probably be in contact with you after Christmas to order more items.  In a couple of months when I have all four jets completed, I will try to send you a picture of them so you can see your repro parts in action.

BTW, received two items yesterday - one "second" BM Dual Cannon you sent several weeks ago, and a "test-order" of a red BM rifle from Jangar, which he sent last week.  Quite a coincidence that they arrived together when sent at so great an interval. However, the point is your so-called "second" beats his attempt hands-down.  His was curved and full of pin-prick air-holes with rough detail edges, whilst yours had no such defects (minor cast problems on the underside).  The plastic on yours "felt" better too. This merely confirms what I'd already heard.  I definitely know where I'm ordering from in the future! Jon

I just received the reproduction parts to Brave Max And Prime in the mail. That is lightning fast shipping and great packaging. Just over a day or less to its final destination.

One word. Okay 2 ... OUTSTANDING... AWESOME pieces of  work and craftsmanship. You da' man.

The photon rifle is beyond words and just overall awesome down to the detailing and tooling of the final product. As this is coming from someone who have never seen or held a complete g1 fort max before. The dual cannon and  primes fists and bloated gun are exceptional down to the detailing and fit. Not snug or loose, just right on my g1 transformers. I can't wait for Brave MAX's Master Sword to be finished. Many Thanks for being so darn close to home. And being a fellow Canadian.
Take care Perry, hope to hear from you soon on the upcoming projects.

Hey Ken!
Just wanted to let you know that I got the parts today.
First off, let me just tell you that I am REALLY impressed with the quality. Honestly, I was expecting something passable, but these are REALLY
nice. I have quite a few Mego’s so I’m somewhat accustomed to repro parts, but these look better than most manufactured parts I’ve seen. The
fact that you “make” these is incredible!

Clear Red Cerebros Sword-This piece is flawless and very impressive. Makes me want to have a headless Brave Max just so Cerebros can be displayed holding it. In the end it will be a weapon that another figure, most likely Prime, will "borrow" because its a crime to put a weapon as nice as this into storage.

Large Maximus rifle-Very nice piece and well worth the wait. 25 times better then my previous reproduction rifle from the other place.

Clear blue Prime Matrix-Rather plain on its own, needs some paint, but the clear blue will work well to give the effect most collectors will want with this piece.  with a little work painting the handles and center it will be a nice piece, well worth the price.

A bunch of pieces thought not to be up to quality for sale-I got some Prime guns, Dirge missles, and a Black Cerebros sword.  Other then some mold lines I can see no reason why these couldn't be sold, other sellers probably would have.   These parts can easily be displayed with figures and wouldn't pass only the closest of inspections. Obviously that isn't good enough or these wouldn't be seconds.  This
alone should make it a little easier for you to make your decession to buy your reproduction parts from here.

I am completely amazed with these Galvatron cannons.  They're fantastic! I think I'll be adding my originals to my trade list soon.  These are much nicer than those freaky sparkly things.

I would just like to say that they are all top quality and they work exactly like the originals, except they are much cheaper in price. It's nice to see my Omega Supreme
walk again, my Fastrack in possesion of it's guns and Jetfire's armor staying on. Thank you very much and you can bet if I ever need more parts, I'll be coming back here.

Hey Ken. The Matrix arrived a couple of days ago and let me just say that your skills are extreme. You did a really wonderful job on this thing and the detail is crisp and clean as hell! I can't believe it's a repro!

From: Wolfhart67@.com

Ken,
I just wanted to email you with a couple of complaints if you will. First, the Swoop beak was too well done to go onto my sorry excuse of a custom.  OK,  so I guess that thats a good thing.  Especially since I bought a Swoop with a broken beak just so I could get one of yours in yellow.  And second,  As you can see from the picture (not a good one though)  Megatron needs a little more firepower than just the firing mechanism and sword I got from you.  I don't think he stands a chance.  Don't worry, my wife is convinced that I'm crazy too.
All joking aside, the parts were better that I expected.  And to be honest, everyone seems to talk about you when refering to reproparts, so I did expect high quality, but wow.  I'll definitly be doing business with you again.  The kits that you have with DeltaStar are the best.  I got the Megatron kit and loved it.  I hope you plan on more like that.  Anyway, as roundabouts as it is, I just wanted to say thank you.  You and your products are a great (asset?) to the hobby.  (Not sure of the best word, but I hope you're around for a long time and your line of repros keeps growing)  Thanks again.

Hi Ken,
the parts arrived today and I couldn't be happier!  The purple missiles are a near perfect match for G2 Ramjet.  Both the missile sets fit very snugly in the launchers unlike the real ones.  No problems with them at all.  The other parts are excellent as well.  I will be placing another order very soon, as I have a Wheeljack and Hound on the way that need parts.

Hello,
I received the Matrix Friday afternoon, and got it painted up over the weekend for shipping today (the Post Office was making me a bit nervous for a minute there).  I thought you might like to see a picture of the final painted piece, installed in Prime's chest.
(a tan Matrix was painted)

Thank you again for the donation - it really added to the figure, and I think the winning bidder will be very happy with it.  Now I just need to get my list
together for what repro parts I need :)

Hi Ken,

Sure enough, I got the parts in the mail this morning and they look great! Thanks! I was especially impressed by the black Optimus Prime fists and the Swoop beak parts, not to mention the label sheet - this was the first time I've seen Delta's labels as
well and after seeing the Swoop decals, I have no reservations with ordering more sheets from him in the future. The only part I had a problem with was getting one of Wheeljack's wings to stay on the peg, but it seems that's a fault on my end - one of the wing pegs on my Wheeljack's back is looking to be worn down quite a bit. I can build that back up with some putty, I'm guessing.

As promised, here's a quote you can post on the site:

"These parts impressed me quite a bit with their quality, both in the casting and the coloring. I'll be draining my bank account dry buying parts here in the next few months! The different Optimus Prime fists Transrepro offers are about the only ones I'll use in my customs and scratchbuilds from now on. And Ken is a super guy to deal with as well - friendly, fast and very helpful."

Well worth the wait!  I received the items I bought from you today, and of all the things I've bought reproduced I think these have to be the best!  The quality of your reproductions is incredible.  Every curve and line were just as sharp as the originals.  Most of the repro items I've bought come out with dull edges and lack the sharpness and clearity of the original.  These were excellent!!!  No bubbles, smudges, or otherwise could be found anywhere.  Thanks, and let me know when your Fortress Maximus swords are ready.
